Christiaan Alblas, testifying in a R250-million drug-trafficking trial, on Tuesday told the Germiston Regional Court that he had made a deal with the Scorpions because he felt intimidated and believed there was “some powerful play going on” in which he “might be hurt”.
Alblas was called to the stand after first witness Robert “Bob the American” Lottman detailed a botched hashish deal involving 2 tons of hashish and marijuana that led to a string of arrests.
They were held in the cells at the Silverton police station and taken to court the following morning.
